UNLIMITED MULTIPLE PLAYER TRACKING SPACE Russian patent published in 2023 - IPC G02B30/22 G01S1/70

Abstract RU 2803453 C1

FIELD: optical instrumentation.

SUBSTANCE: visualization systems, virtual reality and means for tracking the position of objects in space. A method for tracking the position of objects in space consists in scaling the tracking space with a plurality of laser beacons, where, in order to identify the laser radiation of the beacons, their radiation is frequency modulated at different frequencies, and information about the frequency and number of the laser beacon is transmitted to the tracking objects using digital encoding of omnidirectional synchronization pulses emitted by beacons at the beginning of each scan cycle; equipping each player with a 3D suit, in which photodetectors are used to determine the coordinates of body parts, which receive laser radiation from laser beacons; tracking the position of the manipulators using at least three photodetectors that receive laser radiation from the beacons; use of each player's personal PC. In each laser beacon or near it, a unit is installed for distributing information about a 3D picture and images of other players in high resolution over the radio channel that are in the area of the high-resolution beacon. The distribution block is connected to the server to integrate information about the body parts of the player himself and 3D information about the location of other players in the beacon coverage area into the 3D picture.

EFFECT: ensuring the integration of several players into a single virtual space, increasing the speed of information processing.
