FIELD: wastewater treatment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods for purifying fat-containing wastewater from meat processing and butter and cheese factories with a high content of organic and inorganic substances. The method includes preliminary neutralization of highly concentrated acidic fat-containing wastewater with a mixture of calcium oxide and calcium carbonate 9:1 to pH = 6.5 and subsequent treatment with the microscopic fungus Hypomyces odoratus “ВКПМ F 242” in a fermenter by cultivation for 6-12 hours. At the same time, there is an increase in the biomass of the fungus, which occurs due to the consumption of carbon and fatty substances that are part of the polluting components of the runoff, a decrease in COD, BOD5, fats, sulfates, phosphates, and chlorides. At the end of cultivation, the fungal biomass is separated from the treated wastewater by filtration.
EFFECT: biomass obtained during wastewater treatment is living and partially destroyed mycelial cells, which has surface-active properties and can be used in the oil industry.
