FIELD: Venturi absorber.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions is related to a Venturi absorber designed to absorb sulphur trioxide with sulfuric acid. The Venturi absorber includes a converging section, a neck section and a diverging section. It also includes the first conduit installed at the top through which hot process gas containing sulphur trioxide is introduced. Additionally, the Venturi absorber includes a device for supplying sulfuric acid by spraying sulfuric acid parallel to the flow of gaseous sulphur trioxide, a pipeline for extracting liquid fractions and a pipeline for extracting gaseous fractions. Inside or below the divergent section, an internal device is installed, which is a sieve plate, a set of Venturi tubes or a self-supporting dome of a convex shape. The invention us also related to a plant for producing sulfuric acid and a method for producing sulfuric acid.
EFFECT: group of inventions improves the efficiency of the system in that part of it, which relates to the absorption of SO3 in the Venturi absorber, and thus leads to a decrease in energy losses intended for the generation of low-pressure water vapor.
