SUBSTANCE: method for calibrating errors of an inertial measuring unit (IMU) using a dynamic bench can be used in the process of calibrating an IMU based on laser gyroscopes. To achieve this result, the scale factor errors are calculated for positive and negative input actions. This invention makes it possible to evaluate the systematic and instrumental errors of the PIS as part of the IMU, and also makes it possible to simplify the process of calibrating the errors of the IMU by automating the required amount of testing on a two-axis dynamic stand bench a temperature chamber.

EFFECT: accuracy improvement by expanding the vector of calibrated parameters of primary information sensors (PIS) using a two-stage dynamic bench.
