SUBSTANCE: invention a method for treating mastitis in lactating cows, which involves applying a complex ointment, including fir, ichthyol ointment, camphor oil and petroleum jelly, in the following ratio, wt.%: fir - 25, 10.0% ichthyol ointment - 25, 10.0% camphor oil - 25, petroleum jelly - 25, applied externally by rubbing, daily into the affected quarter of the mammary gland at a dose of 3.0 grams for 2-3 minutes for 5 days in a row.
EFFECT: invention provides a reduction in treatment time and an increase in the effectiveness of the method of treating cows with subclinical mastitis.
