FIELD: metalworking.
SUBSTANCE: invention concerns a method for preparing the surface of metal fittings for bonding a profile made of composite materials for use in aviation and rocket and space technology, in particular in the manufacture of solar panels for spacecraft. The method is characterized by the fact that the surface areas of the metal fittings on which the adhesive is applied are corrugated. The treated surface of the fitting undergoes simultaneous cleaning, oxidation and corrugation with a laser beam generated by a pulsed fibre laser to a depth of 50-100 microns, with a step of 0.06-1 mm and a processing speed of 7.5-15 s/cm2.
EFFECT: increase in the strength of the adhesive joint due to an increase in the bonding contact area, mechanical locking of the adhesive in the surface microstructure and chemical modification of the surface.
