SUBSTANCE: chemistry of substances that absorb light. Invention is related to a new compound of formula I, as well as the use of this compound as a fluorescence quencher. A distinctive feature of the substance is the presence in the quencher of groups with a positive charge and a large number of electron-donating methoxyl groups.

EFFECT: increase of sensitivity of the PCR method due to a change in the nature of the background radiation from the quencher and a decrease in its intensity.
