SUBSTANCE: wetting composition contains water in an amount of at least 75% of the wetting composition and an emollient having the following structure:

where x is 2-50; where y is from 1 to less than 7; z is from 1 to less than 5; G ₁: G₁: -CH₂CH₂CH₂-(C_aH_2aO)_b-H; G₂: -CH₂CH₂CH₂-OCH₂-CH(OH)-CH_2-R_1, R is selected from: -NH-(CH₂)_n-NH₂, -NH-(CH₂)_n-NH-(CH₂)_m-NH₂, N-piperidine and N-3,3,5,5-tetramethyl-piperidine; at least one G1 a is 2 or 3; at least one G1 b is from 1 to less than 25; at least one G2 has n in R1 from 2 to less than 7; at least one G2 has m in R1 from 2 to less than 7. Another wetting composition and a wet wipe are also disclosed.
