Foldable electronic device with a flexible display comprises a first housing, a second housing, a hinge structure connecting the first housing and the second housing in a foldable manner relative to the folding axis, a flexible display containing a first area corresponding to the first housing, a second area corresponding to the second housing, a first protective cover, located on top of the first body to cover the periphery of the first area of the flexible display, a second protective cover located on top of the second body to cover the periphery of the second area of the flexible display, and a protective structure located on top of the hinge structure. The protective structure comprises a blocking element covering the periphery of the flexible display and a foldable protective cap supporting the blocking element. The protective cap comprises a base attached to the hinge structure, a protrusion extending from the base, and a support portion extending from the protrusion towards the flexible display. In the direction perpendicular to the folding axis, the protrusion has a first width, and the supporting part has a second width smaller than the first width.
