FIELD: rocket and space equipment.
SUBSTANCE: method for monitoring the technical condition of a reusable liquid-propellant rocket engine (LRE) as part of the return stage of a launch vehicle during inter-flight checks includes monitoring the characteristics of the engine and its units using measured parameters and a mathematical model and comparing the control results with standards, according to the invention during each inter-flight check for results of measurements of the engine parameters in flight, a mathematical model of the engine is formed, the values of the controlled characteristics of the engine and its units are calculated from it, the values of these characteristics are brought to the nominal conditions specified by regulatory documents, deviations of the obtained characteristic values from the standards specified by regulatory documents are determined, deviation trends are formed during time for the entire period of flight operation of the engine, determine the technical condition of the engine and its individual units from these trends and decide on the next start of the engine without/with the replacement of its units, or termination of operation.
EFFECT: improving the safety of the launch vehicle by reducing the risk of emergency situations in the event of a change in the LRE characteristics due to reusable flight operation.
