FIELD: measuring fibre-optic technologies.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to determination of thermal characteristics of substances (liquids and gases), in particular, their specific heat capacity. A fibre sensing element for determining the thermal characteristics of substances (liquids and gases), namely, specific heat, includes a single-mode optical fibre with a fibre Bragg grating (FBG) as a meter and at least one multi-mode optical fibre with a formed fibre output element, which is a fibre optic a taper for heating the SE and the test sample around it, whereas the fibres are located opposite each other, and the area of the fibre output element (taper) is aligned with the FBG area of the single-mode optical fibre, and is rigidly fixed in the hollow tube.

EFFECT: improving the design of the device for measuring the thermal characteristics of substances, as well as simplifying the method by eliminating the need to rebuild the pump laser and/or broadband radiation source to the resonant wavelength of the output element, which ensures reliability and stability of operation under changing external conditions.
