FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: device has a pulsed optical radiation source, an optical fibre which is the detecting element, a directional coupler, a spectral separation unit, two photodetector modules, a photodetector synchronisation module and a processing unit. The directional coupler is connected to the pulsed optical radiation source, the input of the spectral separation unit, the input of the photodetector synchronisation module and the detecting element. The spectral separation unit is connected to the photodetector modules, which are in turn connected to the processing unit. The detecting element is in form of a single-mode fibre. The spectral separation unit contains a fibre filter on a Bragg grating and a fibre multiplexer into channels, tuned to allow passage of Stokes and anti-Stokes components. Another version of the device employs a circulator instead of a directional coupler.
EFFECT: high reliability and improved signal-to-noise ratio.
