FIELD: hydrometallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: method for purification of vanadium ammonium salts from sodium. The method involves extraction of vanadium-containing material with a solution of soda ash, obtaining an alkaline vanadium solution, and precipitation of vanadium by adding and mixing with ammonium salt - ammonium carbonate, taken in 1-3 times the amount relative to the stoichiometric amount required for formation of ammonium vanadate. The resulting sediment is washed with an aqueous solution of ammonium acetate with a reagent concentration of 100-300 g/dm3 at a ratio of T:L = 1:3-1:10, and the washed sediment is further dried and fired at a temperature of 500-600°C for 0.5-1.5 hours.
EFFECT: purification of vanadium-containing ammonium precipitate from sodium without loss of vanadium for further production of high-purity vanadium pentoxide with a content of the main substance V2O5 of at least 99.5%.
