FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of high-purity vanadium pentoxide. Step A includes adding a vanadium-containing leaching product, obtained as a result of calcining roasting of vanadium slag and acid leaching into a mixed solution containing carbonate ions, ammonium ions and aqueous ammonia solution, mixing to form a precipitate and separation of liquid from solid substance to obtain technical vanadium-containing leaching product. Carbonate ions are provided with ammonium carbonate, ammonium bicarbonate, sodium carbonate or sodium bicarbonate, and ammonium ions are provided with ammonium sulphate, ammonium carbonate or ammonium bicarbonate. Stage B includes washing technical vanadium-containing leaching product with hot water to obtain purified vanadium-containing leaching product. Stage C comprises bringing pH of the purified vanadium-containing leaching product to value of 1.5 to 2.5, adding said leaching product to ammonium sulphate solution with pH in range of 1.5 to 2.5 and temperature of 90 °C to boiling point, maintaining temperature and continuously stirring to form a precipitate, separation of liquid from solid substance to produce highly pure ammonium polyvanadite. Then ammonium polyvanadite is washed, dried and fired to obtain high-purity vanadium pentoxide.
EFFECT: obtaining high-purity vanadium oxide which meets requirements for battery grade raw material.
