FIELD: medicine; physiotherapy.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in medical and preventive, health resorts for rehabilitation of patients after surgical treatment of herniated discs. Electrodes sized 5×14 cm are placed paravertebral in the lumbosacral spine, the drug is applied to filter paper and placed under a pad (introduced from both poles). The cathode is in the zone of greatest pain. Unipolar current is used. The current strength is up to the patients feeling a slight tingling and painless vibration. Time of exposure: 2 procedures for 8 minutes, then 2 procedures for 10 minutes, then 6-8 procedures for 15 minutes. The course of treatment includes 10-12 daily procedures.

EFFECT: method provides an increase in the efficiency of rehabilitation due to the combined effect of fluctuating currents and mud preparation.
