FIELD: soil science.
SUBSTANCE: claimed invention relates to the field of soil erosion and can be used to protect soil bulk structures of long-term operation from the effects of rain and melt water flows. A method for increasing the erosion resistance of bulk soil structures is described, which consists in the following: preparing a protective mixture including the soil of a bulk soil structure, a 1% aqueous solution of polyacrylamide (PAA) and water in the following ratio of the listed components: 4.75-5.25 l of PAA solution: 1 m3 of soil: 150-250 l of water; the resulting mixture is applied to the slope of the bulk soil structure with a layer 5-10 cm thick and left to dry and form a crust layer resistant to eroding water flows.
EFFECT: increase in the erosion resistance of the surface of bulk structures by increasing the critical speed of eroding water flows.
