FIELD: aerosol generation.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions is related in particular to electronic cigarettes and inhalers, in which liquid media are vaporized to produce inhalable aerosols. A device for generating an aerosol by applying the energy of an electromagnetic field to a liquid medium contains a capillary-porous component configured to capillary transfer the liquid medium, while the capillary-porous component is configured to transmit the energy of an electromagnetic field. The capillary porous component contains aluminium oxide and titanium oxide. An aerosol is generated by applying the energy of an electromagnetic field to a liquid medium, selectively heating the liquid medium by introducing the energy of the electromagnetic field into a capillary porous component saturated with the transferred liquid medium, the temperature of which, due to the transfer of electromagnetic field energy, does not exceed the temperature of the liquid medium. Due to the selectivity of heating during the vaporization of the liquid medium, Leidenfrost effect vapor pockets are not formed. In the pulsed mode of selective heating and vaporization, the duration and delay of pulses of radiated energy of the electromagnetic field are coordinated with the time of thermal relaxation of the liquid medium in the capillary pores of the capillary porous component. The steam is discharged through the surface of the capillary porous component into an air duct contained in the aerosol generator, partly formed by a variety of microstructures that favourably influence the formation of the aerosol. If necessary, the electromagnetic field energy source and the capillary porous component are replaced separately with a container for the liquid medium separately.
EFFECT: improvement of formation of inhaled aerosol and reduction of health risks.
