FIELD: measurement equipment.

SUBSTANCE: method is based on the readings of a dynamometer weighing a platform with a moving load. The mass of the metric part of the dynamometer and the platform is determined when changing the angle of the sensitivity axis (measurement direction) of the dynamometer relative to the horizontal plane (pitch angle). The stiffness and damping coefficients of the dynamometer, necessary to determine the moving mass, are determined either from the results of frequency tests of the dynamometer with the platform on a vibration stand, or from the results of free vibrations of the dynamometer with the platform.

EFFECT: increased accuracy of determining the mass of a moving object, ability to measure the above-mentioned mass at any time.
