FIELD: measuring technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the measuring technology for measuring the mass of loads in motion. The method for determining the mass of a moving object is based on the readings of a dynamometer that weighs a platform with a moving load. The mass of the force application element of the dynamometer and the platform is determined by changing the angle of the sensitivity axis (measurement direction) of the dynamometer relative to the horizontal plane (pitch angle). The damping coefficient of the dynamometer and the natural frequency of vibration of the force application element of the dynamometer with the platform, necessary to determine the mass of a moving object, are determined either by the results of frequency tests of the dynamometer with the platform on a vibration stand, or by the results of free vibrations of the dynamometer with the platform.
EFFECT: increased accuracy of determining the mass of a moving object.
