FIELD: metrology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metrology, in particular to methods of measuring damping coefficient. Method for determining damping characteristics of liquids and granular materials, in which test substance is placed in sealed container, which is placed between two-stage system of shock absorbers. Harmonic vibration of sealed vessel is excited by harmonic vibrator. Frequency of vibration is changed due to movement of loads on resonators made in form of strips and fixed on external surface of sealed container. Least ωmin and maximum ωmax resonant frequencies specify stiffnesses of two cascades of shock-absorbers. Acceleration and amplitude of vibrations are fixed by oscillation sensor installed on container surface. Resonance curves of capacitance with resonance frequencies are constructed and damping coefficient is determined on the basis of analysis of resonance curves.
EFFECT: broader functional capabilities by generation of resonance modes with different amplitudes and frequencies.
