The event processing method includes: determining first indication information, where the first indication information is used to indicate a random access RA triggered by a first event or a second event, wherein the first event refers to the number of SR scheduling request transmissions reaching the maximum number of SR transmissions, and the second event refers to the fact that there is no physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) resource available for the SR that has been initiated and is in the idle state; and sending the first indication information.
