FIELD: vehicle testing.

SUBSTANCE: according to the method, air samples are taken using a suction nozzle near the contact patch of the tire with the road surface behind the wheel of a moving vehicle, and the said air samples are analysed, determining the numerical values of the parameters of solid particles in these samples. At the same time, air samples are taken using a suction nozzle near the roadway in front of the wheel of a moving vehicle, with the nozzle having an inlet opening in the direction of the front of the vehicle, and these air samples are analysed, determining the numerical values of the parameters of solid particles from resuspended road dust. The difference in parameter values between the particulate matter collected by the suction nozzle and the particulate matter from the resuspended road dust is then determined.

EFFECT: improved accuracy of determining the quantitative content of the emission of solid particles from wear of the tire and road surface when the vehicle is moving.
