METHOD FOR PREDICTING ONSET OF DEATH IN COVID-19 PATIENTS AGED 60 YEARS AND OLDER Russian patent published in 2023 - IPC A61B5/01 A61B5/08

Abstract RU 2805263 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to clinical diagnostics. Risk factors are determined: the presence of vaccination, self-treatment before hospitalization with antiviral drugs: Favipiravir, Triazaverine or Coronavir, the presence of muscle pain, shortness of breath, difficulty nasal breathing, dyspeptic disorders before hospitalization, a history of: Parkinson's disease, rheumatoid arthritis, diabetes mellitus, chronic heart failure, chronic venous insufficiency, hypertension or arterial hypertension, myocardial infarction or acute cerebrovascular accident in the anamnesis, coronary heart disease, iron deficiency anemia, chronic kidney disease, cancer, intestinal cancer, kidney disease, duodenal ulcer. Determine body temperature, respiratory rate and age group. According to the point system, each indicator is evaluated. Then the probability coefficient of predicting the result is calculated according to the original formula. If the CPR value is greater than 0.53, a high probability of death is predicted.

EFFECT: method makes it possible to predict the probability of death in patients aged 60 years and older with COVID-19 hospitalized in a hospital, allows you to choose the optimal personalized approach to the treatment of COVID-19 patients, which will avoid the development of situations that significantly increase the frequency of complications, adverse outcomes and large material costs.
