FIELD: surgery.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions can be used for the restoration of soft tissues in surgical hernioplasty, for the healing of chronic wounds or for the surgical healing of fistulas in the patient’s body. The group includes a biodegradable mesh implant, a method of producing a mesh implant, and a kit. A biodegradable mesh implant contains a porous, hydrophilic, biodegradable polymer support mesh and fibroblasts on or within the polymer support mesh. The supporting mesh contains a spongy structure with interconnected pores of different sizes, and has a contact angle of less than 75° and is made of at least a polymer that includes polylactic acid as a main component. The kit contains a biodegradable mesh implant and an additional polymer support mesh.

EFFECT: obtaining biodegradable mesh implant for soft tissue restoration, in particular hernioplasty.
