FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to endoprosthesis for treatment of parastomal hernia. Composite mesh endoprosthesis for treating a parastomal hernia comprises an interconnected non-absorbable polypropylene mesh coated on both sides with two thin-film polylactide membranes extending beyond the mesh boundaries. At that, mesh is covered with membranes with thickness of 20 mcm with smooth surface extending beyond mesh boundary by at least 3 mm, creating an integral composite endoprosthesis by rolling between two Teflon sheets through a laminator at temperature of 130 °C.
EFFECT: invention provides more effective treatment of parastomal hernia; reduced probability of recurrence; elimination of adhesion formation between visceral organs and synthetic implant in the intestinal stoma area for a long time; preservation of strength properties and biological inertness of polypropylene; elimination of pyoinflammatory complications due to use of polypropylene in direct contact with a segment of intestine bearing a stoma.
