FIELD: ophthalmology.

SUBSTANCE: invention is intended for plastic and reconstructive operations in the formation of the correct, narrowed shape of the inner corner of the eye in patients with blepharophimosis syndrome. A through stepped incision of the lower eyelid is made at a distance of 4–5 mm medial to the lower lacrimal punctum with the intersection of the lower lacrimal canaliculus, in the wall of the superior lacrimal canaliculus, in the projection of the medial commissure of the eyelids. A hole with a diameter of 1 mm is formed, one end of a silicone tube with a diameter of 1 mm is passed through the superior lacrimal canaliculus, lacrimal sac, nasolacrimal duct and brought into the nasal cavity under the inferior turbinate. The second end of the same tube is passed through the distal segment of the lower lacrimal canaliculus, the hole formed in the wall of the superior lacrimal canaliculus, the lacrimal sac, the nasolacrimal duct and is brought out into the nasal cavity under the inferior turbinate. The ends of the silicone tube are tied in the nasal cavity with a non-absorbable thread. The cut edge of the lower eyelid is moved to the medial commissure of the eyelids and fixed with interrupted sutures. The silicone tube is removed after 2–3 months.

EFFECT: method allows to achieve a stable and correct position of the inner corner of the eye, normalization of the position of the lower lacrimal opening, and also to obtain a high functional and cosmetic effect.
