SUBSTANCE: invention is a composition for the prevention or treatment of diseases in plants, the said composition contains tannins, water and one or more inert components selected from the group consisting of celite, diatomaceous earth, bentonite, pyrophyllite, kaolin, montmorillonite, thenardite, attapulgite, dolomite, clay, cork, humic acids and fulvic acids, the disease being caused by a bacterium selected from the group consisting of Clavibacter sp., Erwinia sp., Pseudomonas sp., Ralstonia sp. and Xanthomonas sp., or the disease is caused by a fungus selected from the group consisting of Alternaria sp., Phytophthora sp., Colletotrichum sp., Fusarium sp. and Aspergillus sp., wherein the tannins include one or more tannins selected from the group consisting of castalagin, vescalagin, castalin, vescalin, tannins derived from Acacia plant species, and tannins derived from Schinopsis plant species, and a method of preventing or treating the disease in plants, including the introduction of a composition according to any one of paragraphs 1–6 to a plant in need by spraying, the disease being caused by a bacterium selected from the group consisting of Clavibacter sp., Erwinia sp., Pseudomonas sp., Ralstonia sp. and Xanthomonas sp., or the disease is caused by a fungus selected from the group consisting of Alternaria sp., Phytophthora sp., Colletotrichum sp., Fusarium sp. and Aspergillus sp. The invention makes it possible to create a new antibacterial drug for use in agriculture.

EFFECT: drug is effective for the prevention, treatment and control of diseases caused by bacteria and fungi in plants and at the same time is an environmentally friendly composition.
