FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: intended to protect a current conductor with an in-line, bifilar arrangement of pipe buses in its busbar package from short circuits and breaks in the circuit of the pipe buses of this current conductor. Such current conductors are usually used in a short network of an ore-thermal complex with single-phase furnace transformers that have a split secondary winding. A conductor protection device with an in-line, bifilar arrangement of pipe buses in its busbar package contains a measuring transducer and a reacting element. The measuring transducer consists of two elements, each of which is made in the form of a flat coil in an electrically insulating housing, located symmetrically relative to the busbar package of the current conductor so that the plane of these coils coincides with the horizontal plane passing through the horizontal axis of symmetry of the section of this busbar package. The windings of the measuring transducer coils are connected in series and connected to the reacting element. The reacting body is made in the form of two current relays connected in series with different tripping limits.
EFFECT: reducing the dependence of the sensitivity of the current conductor protection device on the location of a short circuit between the pipe busbars and a break in the circuit of these pipe busbars.
