FIELD: chemical industry; oil and gas industry.
SUBSTANCE: method for accelerating catalytic chemical processes of interaction between gaseous media and can be used in the chemical, gas and oil refining industries. A method has been proposed to accelerate the catalytic reaction of carbon dioxide methane conversion (CMC) on nickel by coupling it with methane oxidation (MO) on nickel, which occurs in a self-oscillatory mode. To do this, the CMC reaction on nickel is carried out together with the MO reaction on nickel at a temperature of 600-700°C, which ensures that both reactions proceed in a self-oscillating mode and increases the CMC conversion values. As a rule, conjugate CMC and MO reactions on nickel in a self-oscillatory mode are carried out in a flow of a gas mixture CH4-CO2-O2 at a volume ratio of CH4:CO2 = 1:1 and an oxygen content in the gas mixture of 1.1-3.5 vol.%.
EFFECT: significant increase in carbon dioxide conversion at relatively low temperatures and promotion of involvement of carbon dioxide, the reserves of which are huge, into the industrial practice.
