FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: carbon dioxide gas is mixed with pre-heated C1-C4 hydrocarbons and water vapour. The gas mixture is fed into a reaction chamber for thermal conversion to obtain synthetic gas which is separated into hydrogen and carbon monoxide. Carbon monoxide is mixed with air, the obtained mixture is heated at high pressure and temperature 50-100°C below the self ignition temperature of that mixture, and the mixture is then forcibly ignited. Carbon monoxide is oxidised in the reaction zone of a flow combustion chamber, then expanded, cooled and carbon diode gas is separated. Carbon dioxide-vapour conversion is carried out at 700-1500°C and high pressure in a reaction chamber made in form of a flow reactor with walls of heat-resistant material and placed in a combustion chamber, using heat released from oxidation of carbon monoxide. Before feeding into the carbon dioxide-vapour conversion reaction chamber, the mixture of hydrocarbon material, carbon dioxide gas and water is heated to 300-700°C in a heat exchanger using heat of carbon monoxide oxidation products being cooled.
EFFECT: increased hydrogen output, reduced soot formation, cutting on carbon dioxide emission.
