FIELD: cardiology, therapy.
SUBSTANCE: used to predict different options for post-infarction remodeling of the left ventricle. Waist circumference, brain natriuretic peptide BNP in venous blood and the Ea/Ees index are determined based on the results of echocardiography. The probability of developing (h) left ventricular remodeling within 24 weeks is calculated using a given formula. When h is at least 1.0, unfavorable remodeling of the left ventricle is predicted; when h is less than 1.0, a conclusion is made about slowly progressive remodeling of the left ventricle.
EFFECT: method ensures the identification of patients with a high risk of developing unfavorable left ventricular remodeling already in the early stage of ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction in order to select adequate personalized anti-remodeling therapy for cardiac rehabilitation, by assessing sets of the most significant indicators.
