FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to ultrasonic diagnostics, cardiology and cardiosurgery, and can be used for diagnosing left ventricular (LV) remodelling with its intact ejection fraction and predicting the development of heart failure in patients with ischemic heart disease. Three-dimensional stress echocardiography with sodium adenosine triphosphate is performed. At the peak of the stress test, myocardial deformation values are recorded by speckle-tracking. Echocardiographic prognostic criterion of remodelling development (Y) is calculated. If the value Y is more than or equal to 2.1, the development of unfavourable remodelling with the development of heart failure is predicted. If Y is less than 2.1, favourable remodelling without developing heart failure is predicted.
EFFECT: method provides detecting patients with a high risk of unfavourable remodelling and enables timely correction of the therapeutic action plan in order to prevent the development of heart failure; in the presence of signs of unfavourable remodelling and significant coronary artery disease detected by coronary angiography, surgical revascularization of LV myocardium can be recommended.
