FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely cardiology. After primary myocardial infarction with ST segment elevation (STEMI) at 7, or 8, or 9 days after, 24-hour monitoring of the electrocardiogram is performed and heart rate turbulence (HRT) is determined. Echocardiography determines left ventricular end-systolic size (ESS) and global longitudinal strain (GLS). Then the risk (h) of developing chronic heart failure (CHF) is calculated at 6, 11, 12, 16, 24 and 48 weeks of the postinfarction period according to the original formula. With a value of h exceeding 1.0, progression of CHF is predicted, with h less than 1.0, a conclusion is made about a stable course of the postinfarction period.
EFFECT: invention allows identifying the progression of CHF and identifying patients after a heart attack who may require measures aimed at preventing an unfavorable outcome.
