FIELD: analytical chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of the simultaneous quantitative determination of persistent organochlorine pesticides in animal hair. A method of simultaneous quantitative determination of persistent organochlorine pesticides in animal hair using gas chromatography-mass spectroscopy involves taking a representative hair sample of at least 0.0700 g, grinding it, weighing it in a conical flask, dissolving it in a mixture of hexane and acetone in a ratio of 3:4, shaking and mixing on a laboratory shaker, separating the extract from the wool on filter paper, separating the water-soluble part from the organic, removing co-extractive lipophilic compounds by adding sulfuric acid, neutralizing with a 5% sodium carbonate solution, drying the extract in a stream of nitrogen, shaking the vial with a sample of the extract on a vortex shaker until completely dissolved in hexane, drying the solution in a stream of nitrogen, adding a solution of naphthalene in hexane 0.25 μg/ml to the extract obtained after preliminary sample preparation, chromatography on a gas chromatography-mass spectrometer in the shooting mode for an isolated ion characteristic of a particular substances, calculation of the concentration of organochlorine pesticides using a calibration curve based on the ratio of the area of the analyte to the area of the internal standard from the ratio of the concentration of the analyte to the concentration of naphthalene in the range of 0.02–1.00 μg/ml, recalculation of the content of the analyte per sample of the hair.

EFFECT: above method allows to perform simultaneous quantitative determination of organochlorine pesticides with confirmation of the structure using the GC-MS method; the identification of organochlorine pesticides is carried out using the shooting mode for the isolated ion characteristic of a particular substance.
