SUBSTANCE: invention relates to gas chromatographic analysis of halogenated aromatic ketones. Disclosed is a method for quantitative gas chromatographic analysis of chloroacetophenone in water, characterized by analyzing an extract of a water sample in methylene chloride on a gas chromatograph with a flame ionization detector, and chloroacetophenone concentration is calculated using an internal standard, in form of 3-nitrotoluene.
EFFECT: invention eliminates multistage analysis, simplifies sample preparation, provides high degree of extraction of chloroacetophenone from water and absence of need for state standard sample for calibration of instrument.
