FIELD: rocket and space technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in liquid rocket engines (LRE) using metal-comprising rocket fuels. An LRE has a liquid oxidizer as one of the fuel components, and the others are a mixture of liquid fuel and powdered metal suspended in it and liquid fuel. Cooling of the combustion chamber and nozzle is provided by a protective curtain and a regenerative cooling path that uses an oxidizer as a coolant. A partition is installed in the cavity of the mixing head between the middle and outer bottoms, dividing this cavity into central and peripheral zones, whereas the central zone is connected to the supply system for a mixture of liquid fuel and powdered metal suspended in it, and the peripheral zone is connected to the liquid fuel supply system. The cavity of the mixing head between the fire and middle bottoms is connected to the oxidizer supply system through the cooling path. The partition is made hermetically sealed.
EFFECT: improved cooling efficiency of LREs.
