FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of proppants – propping granules, used during oil and gas using hydraulic fracturing. Mixture for producing proppant, which contains aluminosilicate raw material and sintering additive, contains as aluminosilicate raw material a mixture having composition, wt%: mineral part of coal from Kansk-Achinsk or Kuznetsk, or Ekibastuz or Moscow coal basins – coal beneficiation wastes or mixture thereof with ash-slag and/or flue ash 10.0–90.0 and at least one component from: bauxite, kaolin, kyanite, sillimanite, andalusite, amorphous alumina – balance, and as sintering additive – at least one component from: belite slag, technical chalk, dolomite, boric acid, ammonium or calcium fluoride, in following ratio of components, wt%: said aluminosilicate component 70.0–99.5, said sintering additive 0.5–30.0. Method of producing proppant with pycnometric density 1.5–2.9 g/cm3 and size of 0.2–4 mm from said mixture, involving preliminary thermal treatment of coal beneficiation wastes, bauxite, kaolin, kyanite have, sillimanite, andalusite at 850–1,450 °C, and amorphous alumina, ash-slag wastes, flue ash, sintering additive-at 110–550 °C, grinding charge components, granulation in mixer-granulator of ground charge with binder – 3 % aqueous solution of carboxymethyl cellulose or methyl cellulose, or technical lignosulphonates in amount of binder 10.0–40.0 % of weight of charge, drying granules, sieving obtained granules, their roasting in rotating furnace, cooling to ambient temperature and sieving into commercial fraction. Invention is developed in depending points of the formula.

EFFECT: reduced density of proppant, and use of industrial wastes in production of proppants.
