FIELD: bearings.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for applying an anti-friction coating to the raceway of the inner ring of a roller bearing. A mixture of carbon nanopowder with the addition of finely dispersed powder of beryllium, titanium or palladium in a volume of up to 10% is placed on the said raceway, and subsequent exposure is carried out with an indenter with a spherical working surface. The indenter performs mechanical oscillations with ultrasonic frequency through a layer of the specified powder on the mentioned raceway of the rotating inner ring of the roller bearing.
EFFECT: metal surface is protected from the penetration of atomic hydrogen into it.
