FIELD: devices for loading and unloading operations.
SUBSTANCE: machine (1) for handling cargo (24) contains a chassis (2) equipped with a control operator seat (15), a cargo handling system (4) installed on the chassis, a control device (6) for controlling the cargo handling system (4). The control device (6) is configured to be activated manually by the operator, and contains a manual part (61) designed to be grasped by hand, a control unit (5), said control unit (5) is configured to receive control signals from said control device (6) control, element (7) for activating the manually actuated control device (6). The control unit (5) in the activated state of the activation element (7) is configured to provide control of the cargo processing system (4) depending at least on the control signals received from the control device (6). The control operator's place (15) is equipped with a system (16) for detecting the presence or absence of the operator at the specified place (15). The detection system (16) contains at least one presence sensor (17), separate from the control device (6). The control unit (5), when the activation element (7) is in a non-actuated state after the activation element (7) transitions from the actuated state to the non-actuated state, is configured to provide or prevent control of the cargo processing system (4) using the control device (6) depending on at least the state of absence or presence of the operator detected by the system (16) for detecting the presence of the operator at the specified place (15).
EFFECT: reduction of the limitation imposed on the operator without compromising the safety of the operator.
