SUBSTANCE: invention is related to systems based on microorganisms immobilized in a synthetic carrier matrix. A composition is proposed for producing an organosilicate sol-gel matrix for immobilization of microorganisms. The composition consists of tetraethoxysilane, 0.2 mol/dm3 of NaF catalyst solution, dimethyldiethoxysilane and polyvinyl alcohol as an organic component. The components are taken in a volumetric ratio of PVA:TEOS:DMDES:NaF 4:10:10:1.

EFFECT: resulting organosilicate sol-gel matrix can be used for immobilization of microorganisms in creation of heterogeneous biocatalysts and is highly sensitive and stable.
