SUBSTANCE: invention relates to biotechnology, particularly to a method of producing a biological receptor element based on microorganisms immobilized in a xerogel matrix. Said method involves successively mixing biomass of microorganisms with a phosphate buffer solution, tetraethoxysilane and polyvinyl alcohol to obtain a suspension containing microorganisms, and then the obtained suspension is passed through a substrate based on nitrocellulose, pre-wetted with NaF, and after immobilisation of microorganisms, the obtained matrix is dried and cut into fragments.

EFFECT: present invention provides high efficiency of making the biological receptor element, reduced fragility of the element, as well as increased long-term stability and storage life separately from the sensor.
