SUBSTANCE: invention relates to environmental protection and biotechnology, namely to microbial cell strains used in biosensor devices for monitoring pollution of aquatic ecosystems. Biopreparation used to form a sensitive element of a biosensor for rapid monitoring of the degree of contamination of water with organic substances is based on the yeast Debaryomyces hansenii VKM Y-2482. Debaryomyces hansenii VKM Y-2482 yeast is lyophilised and sealed in sealed flasks in an inert gas medium.

EFFECT: biopreparation of yeast Debaryomyces hansenii VKM Y-2482 in lyophilised form, which is a component of a disposable sensitive element of BOD-biosensor, provides for preservation of viability of microbial cells at a constant level for a long period of storage – not less than two years.
