SUBSTANCE: candidate list is generated that includes motion information derived from a spatial neighbour block and a temporal neighbour block adjacent to the current block. The motion information of the current block is derived using the list of candidates. A prediction block of the current block is generated using the derived motion information. The derived motion information in the motion information list is updated, wherein the candidate list is generated to include at least one information from the motion information included in the updated motion information list in the block decoded before the current block.

EFFECT: increased efficiency of compression using a motion information list that stores previously restored motion information.
