SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to ophthalmology. Retrograde probing of the mouth of the nasolacrimal duct is performed, followed by retrograde lavage of the lacrimal duct. An ophthalmic viscoelastic solution is preliminarily injected antegrade through the upper lacrimal opening in an amount that ensures its evacuation through the lower lacrimal opening. Under endoscopic control with simultaneous compression of the lacrimal sac region, the position of the mouth of the nasolacrimal duct is determined by prolapse of the mucous membrane. The lower nasal passage is expanded by pushing the anterior end of the lower turbinate medially. The tissue is perforated with a curved probe with a spherical end in the area of maximum prolapse.

EFFECT: method allows perforation of the mouth of the nasolacrimal duct with minimal trauma to the surrounding structures, as well as to create conditions that prevent subsequent restenosis.
