FIELD: biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: use of FGF21 is proposed, i.e. fibroblast growth factor 21 gene, for the diagnosis of Helicobacter pylori-related disease. It is also proposed to use the FGF21 gene to obtain a kit for diagnosing Helicobacter pylori-associated disease. This gene may be used with one or more genes selected from the group consisting of the genes CTH, CREBRF, DLL4, FGF18, FOS, PDK1, PTPRN, CLIC4, PTPRB, PPP1R15A, PTPRH, DDIT3, BIRC3, FOXO3, BCL2, PRKCE, CHMP4C, CLDN14, SLC7A11, BOC, AJUBA, LMO7, MMP24, C3orf58, KLF10, CSGALNACT1, CEP120, CHAC1, ASNS, NFE2L2, RIOK3, TXNIP, MTR, IFRD1, ALB, NLRP12, NEO1, CLDN8, CCR7, KLRG1, IGFBP1, GIF and their combinations. Also a method is proposed for determining the expression of the FGF21 gene alone or in combination with the above genes for diagnosing Helicobacter pylori-associated disease in a patient infected with Helicobacter pylori.
EFFECT: effective use for diagnosis or prognosis of Helicobacter pylori-related disease.
