FIELD: mass transfer equipment.
SUBSTANCE: column mass transfer apparatus comprises a cylindrical body having a bottom part, a cylindrical upper part; connected to the body: fluid supply means located in the upper part of the body; liquid withdrawal means located in the bottom part of the body; gas supply means located in the bottom part of the body; gas withdrawal means located in the upper part of the body; contact trays with caps for the passage of gas and liquid, located above the bottom of the body; two structured packings installed above the trays, having mesh elements fixed obliquely to the axis of the apparatus, while the gas supply means are located protruding in the centre of the bottom part of the body at a ratio of the diameter of the cone-shaped cover to the diameter of the body, which is in the range of 0.5-0.75, with a cone angle, while the cone-shaped cover has holes with a diameter in the range of 2.5-5.0 mm.
EFFECT: increase in specific mass transfer coefficient and, as a result, decrease in the height of the column.
