FIELD: animal science.
SUBSTANCE: method for incubating quail eggs. The method for incubating quail eggs involves treating quail eggs 60 minutes before placing them in the incubator with a 1.5% alcohol solution of propolis tincture at the rate of 150 ml per 1 m2 of tray at a temperature of 22°C. From the 1st to 8th day of incubation of eggs in the incubator, the temperature is maintained at 37.7°C and relative humidity (RH) 60%. On the 9th day of incubation, the eggs are re-treated with a 1.5% alcohol solution of propolis tincture at the rate of 150 ml per 1 m2 of tray at a temperature of 37.4° C. From the 9th to the 14th day the temperature is maintained at 37.4° C and RH - 50%. From 15 days until the chicks hatch, the temperature is maintained at 37.3° C and RH - 70%.
EFFECT: increasing the hatching rate and obtaining certified young stock, as well as preserve the quail population.
