FIELD: drilling.
SUBSTANCE: power head of a rotary drilling rig contains a mounting housing, inside of which there is a mounting cavity, which also has a hole communicating with the mounting cavity, an input shaft located in the mounting cavity, the first end of which is connected to the mounting cavity by means of a first bearing, and the second end extends outward from indicated hole, a gearbox located on the mounting housing coaxially with the input shaft. The output end of the gearbox is mounted on the second end of the input shaft. The output end of the gearbox is in mesh with the second end of the input shaft. The gearbox is provided with a second bearing to support the output end on the outer side, and the second end of the input shaft extends at least as far as the output end where the second bearing is located.
EFFECT: reduction in the length of the power head in the axial direction and an increase in construction efficiency.
