SUBSTANCE: invention is intended to create optical tweezers based on phase masks. A method for creating optical tweezers with a configurable array of vortex laser beams includes the interaction of a laser beam with a spatial light modulator, onto which a phase mask designed using a computer is loaded; the laser beam acquires the desired distribution of the light field, forming an optical tweezer with the ability to change the configuration of the array of vortex laser beams by rearrangement and loading of another phase mask onto the spatial modulator, during diffraction on which an optical tweezer is formed with given positions of vortex laser beams and their orbital angular momenta, while the type of phase mask is designed based on the following formula: , to design a phase mask that forms optical tweezers with a changed configuration of vortex laser beams, it is enough to change the values of the reciprocal lattice vectors to change the positions of the corresponding vortex beams and the value of topological charges to change their orbital angular momenta.

EFFECT: reduction in switching time between configurations of vortex beams.
