FIELD: nano technology.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to the field of studying the properties of particles of biological tissues and nanoparticles, is intended for retaining or manipulating particles by creating an optical trap (laser tweezers) and can be used for communication in optical vortex microscopy. Apparatus for forming an optical trap with chiral symmetry consists of a light-generating emission source, a focusing apparatus, and a microparticle located in the area of focused emission; according to the invention, the focusing apparatus is made in the form of a dielectric particle of a material providing optical contrast relative to the environment of no more than 2.1 to 2.2, shaped as a regular hexahedron with edge dimensions of at least /2 and not more than 5 wherein is the emission wavelength, and irradiated along the normal to the face thereof by radiation with circular polarisation.
